Have you noticed the vast amount of coverage on the TV lately about loneliness? So many folk, old and young in our communities are facing long days without conversation. We have a range of activities across the Circuit to which we could easily invite folk to just to ease that isolation. 
Why not offer to take a neighbour to something? (for lunches it might be wise to phone first – but I am sure you will be made very welcome!!)

Ryedale Christian Council Ecumenical Events In Lent 2018

Helmsley - Thursdays at 7.00pm. starting 22nd February for 5

More Lent Meetings

Sinnington
. A series of ecumenical meetings during Lent will take place on Tuesday mornings 10.00 am at Shalom,  4 Riverside Cottages, Sinnington. The dates are: 20/2, 27/2, 6/3, 13/3, 20/3.

Thornton Dale
. Louise Hayes will be leading ecumenical Lent Reflections at Thornton Dale  at 11.15am - 12.00 noon on 28th Feb, 7th March & 14th March followed by bring and share lunch at  The Old Grammar School.  

Hovingham
. Louise will also be leading the same 45 minute sessions at Hovingham between 10.30am and 12.00 noon on 14th Feb, 21st and 28th March. Venues and exact times yet to be decided.

Pickering.
At the Manse 1.30 - 2.30 starting Wednesday 21st February "Worship in the Wilderness” for 6 weeks

MWiB Residential Weekend, The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire, DE55 1AU, Cost £170 ‘Oceans of Justice, Rivers of Fairness’. If you have never been to Swanwick because of the cost then you might like to apply for a bursary of £150 which leaves £20 for you to pay.  There are a number of these available so if you would like the experience then please take this opportunity.  Arrival and registration on Friday 4.00pm - 6.30pm, Programme starts with dinner at 6.45pm on Friday  and ends after lunch at 2.00pm on Sunday. 7.00pm An Evening with Bobby Ball at Rievaulx Methodist Church.  Bobby Ball from Cannon and Ball fame has been sharing his faith in God since 1997 and churches throughout Great Britain are reporting many people finding faith in Jesus Christ through his obedience.   In his own comedy style Bobby testifies how God has changed his life and speaks on real issues in a way that can be easily understood.
