High Farndale Methodist Chapel is situated along a quiet rural lane on the eastern side of this picturesque dale. The chapel which is very much part of the community of Farndale still holds regular services as well as the many special services held throughout the year which many people from the area and beyond support and enjoy.

The Chapel has been open for the last 127 years and has been a special part of the dale where people have found a welcome to worship on a weekly basis or at the special events. We want the chapel to remain at the heart of the dale and to continue its witness as it has done in the past and thank friends for attending the services throughout the years and invite everyone to continue to do so, not only at the special events but at the weekly/fortnightly services as we do need support to continue, not only on a monetary basis, but more importantly to share worship together in this wonderful dale – can you think of anywhere else prettier to worship on a Sunday afternoon!

High Farndale Open Afternoon.

A huge THANK YOU to all who attended our “ open afternoon” which was held on April 9th. It was a glorious afternoon with lovely sunshine streaming in through the chapel windows and doors and due to this we were able to enjoy fellowship, friendship and refreshments in the open air whilst enjoying the countryside.

Friends enjoyed looking over old photographs of years gone by with connections to the Chapel and families and other displays which were on show.

A total of approximately of £ 300 was raised so thanks to everyone concerned it was a hugely successful afternoon.
