St Hilda`s Church
St Hilda's Beadlam is a shared Methodist/Anglican Church, part of the local Ecumenical Partnership in Kirkdale Parish.
At St Hilda's all services are shared Anglican/Methodist services and the differences between the denominations has ceased to be of significance to the congregation. We have a variety of styles of worship.
Kirkdale Parish covers the villages of Beadlam, Nawton and Wombleton. As well as services at St Hilda's, there are also occasional shared services in Wombleton Village Hall and at St Gregory's Minster there is a strong choral tradition and the services are in the Anglican Tradition.
The Parish has one Joint Church Council, chaired alternately by the Priest in Charge and the Superintendent Minister, which successfully draws together the different traditions.
A prayer group, home group, lent courses and occasional events for young people are also run ecumenically. A monthly Communion Service is held in Omega Barn residential home in the village.
We are a Fair Trade Church
