SUMMARY:Norton Free Fridge
DESCRIPTION:A bit about Norton Community Fridge\n\n\n\n\nWe would hope that anyone who is struggling financially would take advantage of this free food. Equally if people take food and are in a position to give a donation that is OK too. \nWe have been supported in setting up by Norton Town Council and Yorkshire Housing Association. We have also received charitable donations from The Rotary Club and The Lions Club.  We are not for profit\, any donations go towards our running expenses. We offer tea\, coffee and biscuits to anyone using the fridge\, as well as a warm friendly space. \n\n\n\n\nWe are open Tuesday and Friday from 10am to Noon\, though will close early if we run out of produce.\n\n\n\nThe only rules for people taking food from the fridge is that is not sold on\, and that it is used. \nPlease do come round and see us on one of the mornings we are open and have a coffee with us.

DESCRIPTION:Foraging Afternoon\nWith Abbi Lawson\n2:00-4:30pm 5th September 2026 \n \nJoin Abbi for a foraging walk into the woodlands at Sinnington\, identifying edible plants\, before returning to the church for a taste of Abbi’s wild baking. \nPrice £15 per person\, only 20 tickets available.  This event is aimed at adults.  Please bring stout shoes. The walk will be on uneven ground and potentially a couple of miles. \nEventbrite Ticket Link \nABBI LAWSON \nAbbi Lawson is a forager\, baker and self-proclaimed food experimentalist who recently appeared as a contestant on the Great British Bake Off. Fuelled by the dual passions of food sustainability and finding the divine in nature\, Abbi can usually be found deep in a patch of brambles\, climbing a tree to reach a flush of mushrooms\, or spending three days designing and creating a woodland grove-themed birthday cake (for herself). \n
