Foraging Afternoon

With Abbi Lawson

2:00-4:30pm 5th September 2026

Join Abbi for a foraging walk into the woodlands at Sinnington, identifying edible plants, before returning to the church for a taste of Abbi’s wild baking.

Price £15 per person, only 20 tickets available. This event is aimed at adults. Please bring stout shoes. The walk will be on uneven ground and potentially a couple of miles.

ABBI LAWSON

Abbi Lawson is a forager, baker and self-proclaimed food experimentalist who recently appeared as a contestant on the Great British Bake Off. Fuelled by the dual passions of food sustainability and finding the divine in nature, Abbi can usually be found deep in a patch of brambles, climbing a tree to reach a flush of mushrooms, or spending three days designing and creating a woodland grove-themed birthday cake (for herself).

Join us to mark the beginning of a New Church Year for Ryedale Circuit on the 13th of September for our Safari Welcome Service.

Join us for a multi-site welcome service travelling across the circuit, as we welcome Chris, Kate, Trudy and Harold into the circuit. Join us for the whole day, or at one stop. We’ll be sharing in worship on a creation theme, sharing in prayer, food and experiencing a taste of worship outdoors during the day

11:30-12:00 then onto Helmsley for Worship & Welcoming Chris as Local Lay Pastor
12:00-13:00 followed by a Bring and Share Lunch
13:30-14:00 At Sinnington – for an Outdoor creative reflection
15:00-15:30 Finally to Thornton-le-dale introducing Harold
15:30-16:00 Join us for Tea and Cake.
